I took this recently on one of my hikes across the dunes of Paria Canyon, Arizona.

I wish.

I found it on National Geographic's Greatest photographs of all time.

It was taken by a photographer named Jack Dykinga. He had to wait for the seasonal rains to come for 6 different tries before he got the kind of shot that he wanted.

Feathers

My family has a friend who struggles with alchohol, and he got put in jail for DUI. He gave me and my sister an eagle feather one time. He's Native American so in their culture that means a lot, since the eagle represents connection to the creator.

We thought it would be nice to send him a card to show we're thinking of him. I deceided to make one with a picture of my feather on the front.
